At the May 4, 2020 WCO Virtual Meeting a proposal was presented to regarding the state of the community finances. WCO President Jason Hudgins proposed that the community take the following steps:

1. Sell the property known as Stokes Park at 1556 Stokes Avenue.

2. Use the proceeds to endow the WCO to eliminate the short term need for fundraising in the Post COVID-19 environment.

3. Use the proceeds to fully realize the potential of the community garden located on South Gordon.

4. Complete the longstanding community goal of creating a community 501c3.

The text of the proposal is attached. The board asks that all comments and questions be submitted in writing  by May 28th to President@westviewatlanta.org so that they can be compiled into one document, answered and disseminated to the community. The community will take 30 days to comment and discuss, the June 1 WCO meeting will be reserved to discuss this proposal.
